Для дополнительной настройки интерфейса я применил утилиты ASM и TinkerTool. Обе эти программы представляют собой модуль к System Prefs

ASM

Эта утилита добавляет привычный переключатель программ в меню, как в классической системе Mac OS.
Есть "Single Application Mode" и другие удобства.

Tinkertool

Вот что умеет ТинкерТул:
Enable or disable the Mac OS Desktop;
Disable the animation effect when opening files;
Show hidden and system files in the Finder;
Control the scaling options for the Desktop background image;
Set the Dock position and pinning;
Select the Dock animation effect;
Use transparent Dock icons to mark hidden applications;
Select different styles for display of the scrollbar arrows;
Control automatic play of audio CDs or DVDs;
Change the language for startup and login without having to reinstall the OS;
Select the default fonts used in Cocoa applications;
Activate transparent Terminal windows;
Control font-smoothing in all types of Mac OS X applications.
